MileLog is built so that your data stays yours. This policy explains what that means.
The short version
MileLog does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. The app has no account, no servers, and no third-party trackers or analytics. Everything you record stays on your device.
What MileLog stores, and where
- Trips, distances, routes, purposes, notes, and settings are stored locally on your
iPhone (and, if you enable it, synced privately through your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit โ visible only to you).
- MileLog has no backend server and makes no network requests to us. We never
receive your location, your trips, or any usage information.
Location
MileLog uses your location only to measure how far you drive, and only while you have a trip running or have granted permission. Your location and routes are processed on-device and are never transmitted off your device by MileLog.
When data leaves your device
Only when you choose:
- Exporting a PDF or CSV report and sharing it via the iOS share sheet sends that file
wherever you direct it.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store / StoreKit. MileLog never sees
your payment details; we store only a local flag indicating whether Pro is unlocked.
Third parties
None. MileLog includes no advertising, attribution, or analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Google, Facebook, Mixpanel, Sentry, etc.). We do not use cookies or device identifiers.
Children
MileLog does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it.
