SnapLog is built so that your data stays yours. This policy explains what that means.
The short version
SnapLog does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. The app has no account, no servers, and no third-party trackers or analytics. Everything you scan and record stays on your device.
What SnapLog stores, and where
- Receipts, their images, amounts, categories, notes, and your settings are stored locally on
your iPhone.
- SnapLog has no backend server and makes no network requests to us. We never receive your
receipts, your spending, or any usage information.
Camera and photos
SnapLog uses your camera, or a photo you choose, only to read a receipt. The image is processed on-device โ text recognition and the AI that structures the receipt both run on your iPhone โ and is never transmitted off your device by SnapLog.
When data leaves your device
Only when you choose:
- Exporting a CSV or PDF of your receipts and sharing it via the iOS share sheet sends that file
wherever you direct it.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store / StoreKit. SnapLog never sees your payment
details; we store only a local flag indicating whether Pro is unlocked.
On-device AI
SnapLog uses Apple's on-device intelligence (Foundation Models) to read and summarize your receipts. These features run locally on your iPhone. Your receipts are not sent to us or to any third party for processing.
Third parties
None. SnapLog includes no advertising, attribution, or analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Google, Facebook, Mixpanel, Sentry, etc.). We do not use cookies or device identifiers.
Children
SnapLog does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it.
